A welcoming note

Welcome to my blog ‘FayReckie’s Sewbook’, where I will be sharing various things, knowledge, experience, and ideas about fashion designing and sewing.

First and foremost, I would like to say that I am NOT a fashion design major and neither did I get any special training in sewing. It is just my passion for sewing and creating garments that made me go all the way to learning how to sew - to the point that I am in today.

My journey of learning how to sew was never easy. I had to go through watching millions of YouTube videos and read numerous blogs and books and on top of that, I had to try almost all of the tutorials I saw in order to figure out which ones worked the best for me and which don’t.

So in this blog, not only will I be sharing my experience, but also all of the sewing knowledge and ideas that worked for me throughout my learning process. And just to make things clear, I am not saying that the techniques that I will be sharing in my blog are ‘the most perfect’ or 'the only' way of making garments; but ‘if they worked for me, they might work for you too’.
